Catherine Stott is a professional artist and experienced tutor.
In residencies at Morpeth Folk Gathering, Hexham Abbey, and outdoor summer locations, and through themed exhibitions, she has taken inspiration from varied environments - landscapes, gardens, coasts, villages - and from poetry, music, drama and dance.
In her own work she employs a range of 2D media, and will use her experience as a tutor to help you develop your skills in any non-solvent based medium - for example watercolour, acrylic, soft pastel, water mixable oils, or pen and wash.
Beginners in a medium and more experienced are all welcome. We send out general materials advice and are happy to discuss the best choice for you.
Groups are small- usually 5 to 8 students- there is individual space
and support to explore the style and medium which suits you or try something
